Senior AI Transformation Leader - London (Hybrid) - Up to £115,000

An established organisation delivering AI and digital transformation solutions is seeking a Senior AI Transformation Leader to support the growth of its Telecoms, Media & Technology client portfolio. This is a senior, client-facing role combining business development, executive stakeholder engagement and delivery leadership across complex AI transformation programmes.

As organisations continue to accelerate investment in Generative AI, this position offers the opportunity to work with senior decision-makers to define AI strategies, secure new consulting engagements and oversee the successful delivery of enterprise-scale AI solutions. The role is ideally suited to an individual who can combine commercial success with a practical understanding of how modern AI technologies create measurable business value.

You will join a collaborative environment where AI is a strategic growth area, working alongside experienced technology, data and engineering professionals to help clients realise the benefits of Generative AI and advanced analytics.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and growing relationships with major Technology, Media and Telecommunications organisations, helping clients identify and implement AI-driven solutions that deliver tangible business outcomes.

Working closely with C-suite and senior leadership teams, you will translate complex AI capabilities into commercially viable propositions, balancing innovation with risk, cost and operational considerations. You will also provide leadership across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring AI programmes are successfully executed and aligned to client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, develop and close high-value consulting and transformation opportunities within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors.
  • Build and manage strategic client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Lead executive conversations around Generative AI, helping organisations understand where AI can deliver measurable operational and commercial value.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of production AI solutions, guiding architecture, engineering and delivery teams while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Shape AI strategies and solution approaches across the modern AI stack, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases and MLOps.
  • Support clients in navigating cloud, security, data governance and operating model considerations required for enterprise AI adoption.
  • Communicate complex machine learning and AI concepts in a way that resonates with business leaders, focusing on business impact, costs, risks and time-to-value.
  • Contribute to capability growth through mentoring, coaching and sharing best practices across teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven history of originating and closing consulting sales and managing large accounts within the Technology, Media or Telecommunications sectors.
  • Strong commercial understanding of Generative AI and the modern AI stack
  • Hands-on experience leading the delivery of production AI solutions, providing direction to architecture and engineering teams while maintaining accountability for programme outcomes.
  • Good understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), including their Generative AI capabilities and the security, data and operating model considerations required for enterprise deployment.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated machine learning and AI concepts to senior stakeholders who are focused on commercial outcomes, risk management, investment decisions and business value.

What's on Offer

  • Opportunity to play a key role within a growing AI-focused business.
  • Exposure to large-scale AI transformation initiatives across Technology, Media and Telecommunications clients.
  • The chance to work directly with senior business and technology leaders on high-impact programmes.
  • Ongoing investment in professional development, including AI, cloud and leadership training.
  • Strong career progression opportunities within an expanding team.
  • Hybrid working model based in London.
  • Competitive salary of up to £115,000, plus bonus and benefits.

If you have a proven track record of winning consulting engagements, growing strategic accounts and leading enterprise-scale AI initiatives, this role offers the platform, autonomy and visibility to make a significant impact.

If you have been watching AI job boards over the past year, one title keeps surfacing again and again: the forward deployed engineer, or FDE. It has gone from a niche term known mainly to Palantir alumni to arguably the hottest role in the entire AI hiring market. Job postings for forward deployed engineers have exploded, salaries have climbed past levels most software engineers will ever see, and the biggest names in AI — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Salesforce, Databricks and Palantir — are all competing for the same small pool of talent. So what exactly is an AI forward deployed engineer, why has demand surged so dramatically, and how do you position yourself to land one of these roles? This guide breaks it all down for AI engineers, software engineers and data scientists looking at their next move.
