We're looking for anEvent Marketing Specialistwho expects more from their career. It's a chance to extend and improve Tesco Media's Marketing Team. It's an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to explore new opportunities and enable Tesco Media and its clients to grow.

Joining our team, you'll work with world class and passionate people to develop and deliver B2B event marketing plans to raise external awareness of Tesco Media's capabilities and generate business opportunities with our clients and agency partners. You will plan and deliver commercially focused events and brand experiences that exceed our customers' expectations whilst helping our sales team reach their targets.

What you'll be working on

  • Raising the visibility of Tesco Media's offerings among targeted audiences by developing best in class B2B event-based marketing campaigns.
  • Responsibility for project managing all Tesco Media's owned, earned and paid for events including our annual Upfronts, industry events, media agency events and speaking slot opportunities.
  • Working closely with content marketing, you'll develop best in class events that drive brand awareness, consideration and talkability in the industry.
  • Crafting distinctive invitation copy and comms to engage our target audiences, build awareness and drive consideration of Tesco Media.
  • Supporting the promotion of thought leadership and insights by building an annual event marketing plan which includes a mix of webinar series and in person events to engage our B2B audience.
  • Supporting our media agency team by developing innovative and engaging agency tours to build presence and advocacy amongst this audience.
  • Setting objectives for each event to ensure ROI. Conduct event evaluations and report back to senior leaders with your recommendations for future events.
  • Project managing skills are critical as you'll be responsible for venue sourcing, talent and speaker management, budget management, content management and ensuring key milestones are met throughout the project
  • Developing partnerships with industry retail media event partners including Advertising Week, Adwanted, The Drum Live.
  • Fully owning of the annual events plan, which will be supported on by the wider team and you'll manage the onboarding of freelancers and event companies to carry out certain activities where necessary.

What we expect from you

  • Seasoned event management experience
  • Media industry experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the advertising and marketing industry
  • The ability to own marketing campaigns and deliver autonomously whilst managing senior stakeholders
  • Fluent English, excellent copy writing skills and a brilliant storyteller
  • A team player with the ability drive new activity, innovate and create compelling event based marketing campaigns
