We are hiring a Global Brand Director (12 month FTC maternity cover - start date June 2025) to lead the strategic direction, creative development, and effectiveness of Deliveroo’s global brand. This role is pivotal in shaping and strengthening our brand globally, ensuring that our positioning, campaigns, and marketing initiatives drive brand equity and business impact across our 10 markets. The role reports into the VP of Marketing and sits in the Marketing team.

What you’ll be doing

Global Brand Strategy

  • Define the vision and direction for the Deliveroo brand globally, from embedding our positioning to setting the strategy and approach for brand platform activation.
  • Lead a team of brand guardians who own and protect the brand fundamentals, ensuring consistency in our visual identity, tone of voice, and brand assets.
  • Conduct quarterly brand diagnostics with our Research & Insights team to provide markets with insights and recommendations to strengthen brand equity and performance locally. Lead on turning insight into action.
  • Review & refine global brand guidelines with the Executive Creative Director and Creative Studio team to ensure flexibility across channels usability across markets.

Global Brand Marketing

  • Develop global playbooks and toolkits to drive brand relevance and consistency at scale, equipping local markets with best-in-class resources to execute campaigns effectively.
  • Lead global marketing workstreams across company initiatives.
  • Identify and solve cross-market brand challenges through strategic initiatives, ensuring Deliveroo’s brand stays distinctive and competitive.

Global Campaigns

  • Lead the planning for our global campaign programme and Global Production Budget distribution, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of Deliveroo’s 360 global campaigns, partnering with our in-house Studio and global creative agency Pablo London to deliver high-impact work delivered on-time and within budget.
  • Secure buy-in from Exec and senior decision makers, including Founder & CEO, VP Marketing and in-market General Managers / Marketing Directors.
  • Manage the campaign process from briefing and creative development to production, localisation, and market rollout.

Marketing Effectiveness & Media Measurement

  • Lead the global marketing effectiveness agenda, establishing frameworks and best practices to improve creative impact and marketing efficiency.
  • Oversee the Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) programme across our key markets, analysing the impact of marketing activity and optimising future plans to align with effectiveness ambitions and efficiency targets.
  • Partner with Data Science, country Marketing teams and Research & Insights teams to assess campaign performance and drive data-informed decision making.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a team of seven, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to local markets and cross-functional teams on brand strategy, creative best practices and marketing effectiveness.

What you will need

  • Experience in Marketing leadership roles, delivering impactful global or multi-market campaigns.
  • Proven experience in brand strategy, creative development and marketing effectiveness.
  • Expertise in end-to-end TTL campaign production, including TV, OOH, digital, social, and owned-channels (in-app a bonus).
  • Strong experience managing creative and localisation agencies and collaborating with internal creative teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrix environment with a self-starter mindset.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams to deliver outstanding results.
