I am looking for an experienced Controls engineer to join an exciting green-tech startup!

My client is on a mission to slow down the carbonisation of the planet using smart heating technology and AI!

They are looking for a Controls Engineer whose focus will be on on enhancing the performance of our heating systems by integrating machine learning models into their controls, ensuring the system is operating with maximum energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and tune control algorithmsthat manage the performance of ML-driven systems
• Implement safety-critical controlsto safeguard system operation and prevent faults or inefficiencies in the loop.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams(including software, hardware, and data science) to ensure seamless integration of control systems with machine learning models and physical components.
• Test and validate control system performancethrough both simulation and physical prototyping, ensuring high levels of accuracy, reliability, and user satisfaction.
• Contribute control system expertise in product development discussions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong proficiency in programming, both in Python and embedded systems (C/C++), with experience in control algorithm development.
• A thorough understanding of machine learning, IoT protocols, and system integration.
• A solid understanding of linear algebra and interest in learning more complex mathematics associated with machine learning and simulations.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement control algorithms that respond to dynamic inputs and optimize system performance.
• Problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach.
