Job Overview: Would you like to play a part as a12-month Intern developing the sort of next-generation technologythat’s in the news, while working alongside and learning from someof the world’s best engineers? This is a twelve-month, paid internopportunity to join our Cambridge team before returning to yourstudies. Please note your university course MUST allow you tocomplete a 12-month internship Year in industry! Arm’s universityprograms strive to nurture and build communities of practice foracademics, teachers, learners and related software developers.Increasingly, we achieve this at scale by working with eco-systempartners such as HW platform vendors, cloud infrastructureproviders, ML authorities, philanthropic organizations, ElectronicDesign & Automation (EDA) companies and credible universities.We are now seeking two interns to work together on a diverse rangeof projects, including taking advantage of the latest developmentsin generative AI technology for both productivity improvement andprospective products. You will be a full member of the team, andcontribute to projects with real-world impact, that can enhanceyour CV. What could you be doing as an Intern in our team? Typicalprojects could be: ● Leveraging, chaining and fine-tuningcommercially available ML tools to add smart features to digitaleducational products ● Developing easy-to-follow educationalmaterial (such as Jupyter notebooks, Dockerfiles, install guides,etc.) based on Arm and partner platforms such as AWS and RaspberryPi ● Using industry standard process such as unit test, regressiontests and documentation generation ● Collaborating with technicalstaff in higher education on validating and testing source code forportability across various platforms ● Developing software toolsfor automation and working with internal and external partners toguarantee accurate, legal standards We are looking for individualswho: We are pragmatic about your exact background – the key thingsare enthusiasm, a willingness to be flexible and have a go andenough technical skills and experience to be credible. That meanspractically, you will be studying towards a degree in ElectronicEngineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics,Physics or some other relevant STEM field where computing isimportant. You will have some experience with proceduralprogramming languages such as C, or OOP languages such asPythonC++. Qualities that will help your application stand out: Youmight also have some personal interests such as robotics, computerarchitecture, embedded system design, system on chip design,machine learning or Arm hardware such as firmware formicrocontroller development boards, programming FPGAs. Other usefulthings would be: ● A general understanding of operating systems,including embedded Linux ● Experience with version control systemssuch as Git, software testing frameworks and documentation ●Experience with deep learning, data engineering or promptengineering ● Experience with tutoring, teaching, and demonstratingconcepts to learners ● Experience with content editingpublishingAdditional Information: Arm Internships require you to be enrolledin a higher education degree and be returning to your course afteryour internshipplacement. If you are graduating in 2025 you willnot be eligible for an Intern role, but you will be eligible forour graduate roles.
