Job Description:

What will I be doing:

As aWorkday Finance Systems Analyst, you will play a key role within the Workday Financials support team. Reporting into the Workday Finance Lead, you will be responsible for the maintenance and support of Workday across Finance functions, covering business processes, controls, data, and reporting.

You will act as a trusted partner to Finance stakeholders, combining functional finance knowledge with strong Workday capability to deliver effective, scalable solutions that support day‑to‑day operations and continuous improvement.

You will also be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Serving as an IS partner supporting Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A, Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Expenses,
  • Providing consultation to Finance process leads by building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, delivering solutions, and performing impact analysis,
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday Financials capabilities,
  • Creating, maintaining, and facilitating training materials and documentation for Workday financial areas,
  • Maintaining master data values in Workday across areas of responsibility,
  • Configuring, testing, validating, and implementing business process changes within Workday,
  • Assisting with testing of integrations, security changes, and recurring events such as Workday updates,
  • Maintaining and updating system configurations, including delivered and custom organisational structures.

What experience do I need:

We’re looking for a Workday Finance professional with a strong understanding of finance operations and systems, who is comfortable working across both technical configuration and business engagement in a fast‑paced environment.

You should be:

  • Degree‑educated or able to demonstrate an equivalent combination of training and relevant work experience,
  • Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant, with finance functional experience (preferred),
  • Experienced (2+ years) in a Workday Finance system support role,
  • Familiar with Adaptive Planning (desirable but not essential),
  • Knowledgeable in finance operations, with experience in finance data management and reporting,
  • Experienced in finance business processes, controls, and best‑practice approaches,
  • Proficient in Workday Finance reporting, including advanced Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields,
  • Confident in using and maintaining Workday security features and controls,
  • A strong problem solver with excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills,
  • Comfortable managing both planned and unplanned work in a fast‑paced environment,
  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and execute tasks independently,
  • A clear and confident communicator, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
