About Us

Ocado Group is a global technology leader reinventing retail through AI and Robotic Engineering. While our technology powers the world’s most advanced fulfilment centres, our people drive our international growth.

We are now launching a new Global Shared Service Centre in Sofia. This hub is the strategic heart of our international finance and people operations, and we are looking for leaders to contribute to building the Treasury Back Office team from the ground up.

Purpose of the role

As the Treasury Back Office Lead, you will manage the end-to-end Treasury Back Office function within the SSC, replicating and enhancing activities currently performed in the UK. You will:

  • Act as the primary interface between SSC Finance teams and Group Treasury, ensuring alignment to Treasury policies, controls, and priorities.
  • Ensure accurate, controlled, and timely delivery of all back office activities, including reconciliations, settlements, and cash operations.
  • Embed Treasury processes within the SSC model while maintaining strong governance and oversight from Group Treasury.
  • Drive standardisation, efficiency, and automation across Treasury and adjacent SSC finance processes.
  • Partner closely with Treasury Front Office (Hatfield, UK) on a daily basis, acting as a trusted operational counterpart to ensure seamless end-to-end execution of cash movements, deal settlements, and liquidity activities across Front and Back Office.
  • Deliver high-quality service to internal stakeholders, particularly SSC-based teams such as AP, Payroll, and Group Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Back Office Operations

  • Deliver all Back Office activities in line with existing UK processes, including cash management, bank reconciliations, bank account administration, payment confirmations and company card scheme administration.
  • Ensure all Front Office deals are accurately settled, confirmed, and recorded in line with SLAs, ensuring cut off times are comfortably met.

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Control

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and fully reviewed bank reconciliations across all entities and accounts.
  • Monitor and resolve bank clearing items, working closely with SSC teams (e.g. AP, Payroll, Group Accounting).
  • Maintain integrity of cash accounting and general ledger postings (Oracle Fusion).
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes in collaboration with SSC accounting teams.

Bank Account & Treasury Administration

  • Own lifecycle of bank accounts: opening, closing, and maintaining mandates in line with governance.
  • Manage banking documentation, KYC/UBO requirements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) and banking records.

Process Improvement & SSC Transformation

  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardisation across Treasury and SSC processes.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs for Treasury Back Office service delivery.
  • Support SSC transition and stabilisation, including knowledge transfer from UK to Sofia.
  • Collaborate with SSC teams to optimise end-to-end processes (e.g. bank clearing, reconciliation, payment flows).

Systems & Data

  • Oversee the teams’ use of Treasury systems (e.g. Kyriba) and ERP (Oracle Fusion, ARCS).
  • Ensure accurate integration of Treasury data into finance systems.
  • Support testing, system enhancements, and issue resolution.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Treasury Analysts.
  • Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and build capability within the SSC model.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-driven culture aligned to SSC principles.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience managing bank reconciliations and cash processes in a high-volume, multinational environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Treasury Systems (ideally Kyriba) and operational processes.
  • Experience working with multi-currency banking structures.
  • Strong ERP experience (e.g. Oracle Fusion or similar).
  • Knowledge of high-volume reconciliation tools (e.g. Oracle Cash Management).
  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple finance functions.
  • Strong Excel / Google Suite capability.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Relevant Treasury or Accounting qualification (desirable).
  • Experience operating within or alongside a Shared Service Centre model (preferred).

Why you should join us

Sofia is the cornerstone of our global operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts the stability and growth of our international teams.

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise AI jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach AI engineers, ML scientists and applied research talent in the UK. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.

AI Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

AI Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the generative AI, machine learning and applied AI hiring trends shaping UK artificial intelligence careers. Artificial intelligence is creating jobs faster than the market can name them. New roles are appearing every quarter, existing titles are splitting into specialisms, and the technologies underpinning it all are evolving at a pace that makes even last year's job descriptions feel dated. For job seekers, this presents a genuinely unusual challenge. In most industries, career planning means understanding a relatively stable landscape and working out where you fit within it. In AI, the landscape itself is being redrawn in real time. The roles with the most hiring activity in 2028 may not yet have a widely agreed job title in 2026. That's not a reason to feel overwhelmed — it's a reason to get informed. The candidates who thrive in this market aren't necessarily those with the longest CVs or the most credentials. They're the ones who understand the direction of travel: which skills are gaining value, which technologies are driving employer decisions, and how the definition of an "AI job" is expanding well beyond the tech sector. This article breaks down what the UK AI jobs market is likely to look like over the next three years — covering emerging job titles, the technologies reshaping hiring, the skills employers are prioritising, and how to position yourself ahead of the curve rather than behind it.
