We’re partnering with a globally recognised consulting firm that’s investing heavily in AI innovation and searching for a Senior Principal AI Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cutting-edge, real-world AI solutions across a diverse client portfolio.

This is a rare opportunity to build and lead an AI capability from the ground up, while staying hands-on with the latest technologies, from Machine Learning and Data Science through to GenAI. You’ll work at the intersection of technical excellence and client impact, solving meaningful business problems at scale. You will get the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI solutions for global clients whilst building and mentoring a high performing team. Alongside this, you will be able to stay hands on with modern AI technologies including LLMs and GenAI

What You’ll Be Doing

* Designing, building, and deploying end-to-end AI/ML systems (from classical ML to GenAI)

* Developing robust, production-ready pipelines covering data ingestion, modelling, deployment, and monitoring

* Driving best-in-class MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model versioning, automated retraining, and rollback strategies

* Ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing in real-world environments

* Defining future-proof AI architectures aligned with client goals

* Assessing and applying emerging technologies (e.g. LLMs, vector databases) where they create tangible value

* Partnering with clients during discovery, demos, and delivery—translating business needs into technical solutions

* Mentoring and developing engineers and data scientists through hands-on leadership

What We’re Looking For

* Strong software engineering background (Python essential)

* Demonstrated success delivering production-ready AI/ML solutions

* Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn

* Solid understanding of MLOps and scalable deployment practices

* Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

* Comfortable in client-facing environments, able to communicate complex ideas clearly

* Consulting experience is not essential, but confidence working with stakeholders, presenting ideas, and guiding decisions is key.

Hybrid work model: 2-3 days/ week in the office (London)

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise AI jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach AI engineers, ML scientists and applied research talent in the UK. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.
