At Medtronic you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.

A Day in the Life

This posting is part of our cooperation with Saïd Business School (University of Oxford) and is open only to Master’s degree students of this university. Applications from other candidates will not be considered.

Deadline to apply:15th May 2026

The internship will focus on developing a product differentiation strategy and a scalable competitive advantage by leveraging Medtronic’s TAVI strategic programs and strategic partnerships in the AI and digital space.

Medtronic’s Structural Heart business introduced the first commercially available transcatheter aortic valve (Evolut) in Europe in 2007. This innovative, life saving technology enables the treatment of patients with aortic stenosis and represents an estimated $6B market opportunity by 2035. Medtronic has long been a market leader, recognized for the quality of its products, strong clinical evidence, and the excellence of its implanter training programs worldwide.
In recent years, increased competition has intensified market dynamics, leading to significant price pressure and a growing need to deliver value beyond the product itself. To address this challenge, Medtronic is seeking to develop a unique value proposition that will serve as a strong differentiator for Evolut in key markets.

The internship will involve value mapping, identification of key value enhancers, and an assessment of whether these value enhancers should be developed organically or inorganically through partnerships. The role will also evaluate the best approach to scale this product differentiation strategy from an initial pilot market (the UK) to other countries across Western Europe.

This internship will give you hands-on experience in strategic marketing intelligence, market analysis, and cross-functional teamwork, helping you build valuable skills for a future career in the MedTech industry.

Internship details:
• Start date: 1st July 2026
• Location: United Kingdom
• Duration: 3 months
• Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Work model: remote

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
• Analyze the TAVI programs/service market to identify opportunities, unmet needs, and key barriers, and assess how different service offerings can address specific customer needs and overcome critical market challenges
• Evaluate each service offering from an execution, scalability, and investment requirements perspective
• Work within a cross-functional and multinational team, collaborating with colleagues from Market Development, Marketing, Finance, Pricing, and Business Development
• Analyze competitors’ offerings and develop recommendations for business leadership
• Deliver a report and/or presentation outlining short- and long-term strategic recommendations, using the UK market as a case study, along with guidance on how the proposed strategy could be scaled across other Western European countries

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Background in management or marketing consulting
• Fluency in English (additional European language is a plus)
• Strong analytical and presentation skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint & Microsoft Office tools (familiarity with other tools such as ThinkCell is a plus)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver executive-level slides and presentations
• Curiosity about healthcare, motivation to learn more about the MedTech industry, and interest in contributing to high-impact initiatives

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise AI jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach AI engineers, ML scientists and applied research talent in the UK. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.
