The Opportunity

We're looking for a Full Stack Cloud Engineer who enjoys taking ownership across the entire technology stack. This role combines hands-on software engineering with cloud infrastructure, platform reliability and operational excellence.

This isn't a role for someone focused solely on feature development. We're looking for an engineer who is comfortable building applications, designing cloud architecture, deploying production systems and managing infrastructure through code. You'll play a key role in ensuring that platforms are secure, scalable and resilient from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full-stack applications and cloud-native platforms.
• Develop backend services using modern technologies including Node.js and NestJS.
• Design, deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, AWS CDK or similar tooling.
• Take ownership of production deployments, platform reliability and operational performance.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated delivery and release processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise cloud environments for performance, security and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product and AI teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering best practices across both software and infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Commercial experience in Full Stack Engineering, Cloud Engineering or Software Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven experience designing, deploying and operating production environments.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of platform ownership, operational support and system reliability.
• Experience working with containerisation technologies such as Docker.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Node.js and NestJS.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning or data-intensive environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
• Background working within regulated, secure or mission-critical sectors.
• Experience handling sensitive or highly regulated data.
• Public sector, government, defence, healthcare, justice or law enforcement experience.
