Location: Driffield, YO25

Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum + bonus scheme

Department: Business Development

Working Monday to Friday – Mon to Thurs 8.30am - 5pm – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm

The Opportunity

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a highly organised, analytical and commercially minded Business Development Researcher to join a growing team based in Driffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys research, data analysis, market intelligence and identifying new business opportunities. You will play a key role in supporting business development and sales activity by ensuring that prospect, customer and market data is accurate, relevant and up to date.

The role will also involve using Artificial Intelligence (AI), CRM systems, research tools and technology to improve data quality, research capability and the identification of new commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, verify and maintain prospect and customer data within the CRM system.

Ensure CRM records are accurate, complete and up to date, including key contacts and company information.

Research and map target organisations, key accounts, stakeholders and decision-makers.

Provide the Business Development and Sales teams with relevant data and market intelligence.

Identify potential markets, organisations and opportunities to support lead generation activity.

Use AI tools and technology to improve research, data validation, analysis and insight generation.

Identify opportunities to improve research processes, data quality, automation and the effective use of technology.

Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to support lead generation campaigns and strategic initiatives.

Assist with the collection and distribution of market intelligence across the business.

Track, investigate and monitor potential commercial frameworks and opportunities.

Identify opportunities within existing frameworks for the business to pursue.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes, systems and ways of working.

Ensure compliance with relevant data protection requirements and company procedures.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to support growth objectives and strategic priorities.

About You

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, highly organised and comfortable working with data and research.

You will ideally have:

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Strong analytical and research capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with CRM systems and data management processes.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

An interest in and willingness to develop AI skills and knowledge.

Previous experience within business development, sales support, marketing, research or a data-focused role would be advantageous.

The ability to interpret information, identify trends and turn research into useful commercial insight.

A methodical and proactive approach to managing information and completing research projects.

The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with wider teams.

Knowledge of the modular construction industry and associated markets would be beneficial but is not essential.
