The team you will join
Our Tax and Trusts Team sits within the wider Private Client Division. The Team specialises in providing tax advice to private clients and trustees regarding particular events or transactions and dealing with the associated tax reporting. The team also deal with administration and taxation of trusts for individuals, families and charities. They offer a bespoke service in administering trusts, tailored to the specific needs of individual trustees and beneficiaries.
The work you will be doing
This role is designed for someone at the start of their career who wants to learn, develop and gain a recognised professional qualification while working in a friendly and experienced tax team. You will support Tax Advisors, Senior Tax Advisors and the Partner with tax advice and tax reporting work for clients, including work that comes from other teams across the firm and from external contacts.
You will complete an ATT Apprenticeship, a Level 4 qualification, with training and day-to-day support to help you become a skilled, confident tax professional. You do not need to arrive knowing everything about tax; we are looking for someone with curiosity, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
In this role, you will gradually build your knowledge and confidence by helping the team with work such as:
supporting tax advice for individuals and family trusts on areas such as income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax;
helping prepare tax returns, calculations, reports and correspondence with HMRC;
