Job summary

The post holder will be part of the Waiting List team and will be responsible for the day to day compiling of waiting lists, thecoordination of scheduling patients and the effective utilisation of theatre lists. To ensure this is appropriately managed this will require processing of complex and sensitive information.

The post holder will be required to manage waiting lists ensuring compliance with local and national targets and the Trust's Patient Access Policy.

The coordinator is responsible for the administrative role within the patient's pathway from the decision to treat electively to the date of admission

Main duties of the job

To manage and compile the production of theatre lists, scheduling patients using agreed booking tools and processes ensuring all patients are listed in the appropriate clinical order. Actively support the waiting list supervisor and other members of the team to arrange patients to come in at short notice in the event Work in conjunction with the Waiting List Supervisor to monitor and manage allocated elective waiting lists in line with the Trust policies and procedures (Administrative Guidance Notes) by use of the daily referral to treat (RTT) report to ensure that all patients are booked in chronological order and within their breach date unless clinical priority determines otherwise.
