About the Role

We seek aSenior Product Managerto ensure the trust and integrity of our published content. You will manage internal investigative tools and assess third-party capabilities. Ideal candidates have extensive Product Management experience in developing software, specifically for tools to support and optimize analysis or investigative activities. The candidate should have a strong understanding of data and be comfortable with complexity, and should have demonstrated successful collaboration across organizational boundaries.

This role is based in Oxford or London, with regular travel to Oxford, and will be part of our Customer-Centric Innovation Center of Expertise. You'll work closely with Technology, Data Science, and Data Analytics teams, as well as integrity and ethics experts, who are the main users of the tools.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement tools for internal investigations in ethics and integrity.
2. Collaborate with ethics experts to identify needs and develop solutions.
3. Generate new ideas from product data and engage in product discovery.
4. Define and evaluate product hypotheses in a quantitative manner, such as AB testing.
5. Monitor and evaluate third-party capabilities and lead integration where relevant.
6. Create product development plans, conduct product-level opportunity assessment, and contribute to business case development.

Requirements

1. 5+ years in software product development, especially analysis/investigative tools.
2. Experienced with relevant technologies, tools, and platforms, including Agile, Scrum, and other product development methodologies.
3. Strong demonstration of data-driven decision-making and experimentation.
4. Passion for user problem-solving.
5. Proven competencies in digital product management, especially excelling at assessing difficult trade-offs and setting clear priorities for the product roadmap to deliver maximum value.
6. Long-term ownership and success in product lifecycle strategy and planning, including the release of multiple products and features.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
8. Self-starter with an enthusiastic, inquisitive nature, and ability to deal with ambiguity and embrace change.
9. Technically savvy: ability to understand the dynamics and workings of complex pieces of software, and how this impacts product decisions.
10. Existing knowledge of Publishing industry and workflows is a plus.
