Job Description

As the Senior Manager Analytics Insights Operate & Change of you will be responsible for the delivery of insights, analytical approaches, analytical tools, presentations and report / dashboard development to key stakeholders in the UK business, with focus on customer retention activities, predominantly through bonus and CRM optimization. This is a key role in our UK business supporting both our Digital & Retail divisions using analytics to provide insight and support decision making.

As a Senior Leader within the UK Strategy team, you will collaboratewithboth gaming and sportsbook commercial directors and work closely alongside the CRM Director.  Your team’s role will be to help support the the UK retention Strategy with the UK SLT,andespeciallyyou will be expected to support the development of product, promotion and brand strategy,by supplying the business functions with information and insights for them to understand the performance of retention activities and provide insight, answers and recommendations to key points within the data.

You will ensure day to day tactical data is provided as and when needed, whilst influencing themstakeholdersto use themost appropriatedata,alongsidenew insight and analytical tools to support and optimise theirbusiness functions.

You will have 2 direct reports and lead an overall team of 5 analysts with teams based across our Gibraltar and Stratford locations, so some travel will be required. Whilst the Analytics Managers will lead the day-to-day operation, you will be responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Main

  • Lead the UK Retention Analytics team and support the Head of Data Science & Insights helping to create a world class and high-performance analytics function.
  • Act as the link between Analytics and the UK Commercial & CRM teams, driving commercial value through insightful Data/Analysis.
  • Lead and manage analysis for financial and non-financial customer performance to provide insight covering areas such as, but not limited to, promotion performance, CRM retention performance, conversion analysis, operations analysis.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and effectively communicate insights to the business.
  • Lead, scope and shape all analytical and BI projects to meet or exceed stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to create best practices across Retention Analytics.
  • Leverage other existing Data, Insight & Analytics functions across group to help drive maximum impact and act as a partner to deliver group wide initiatives for the UK business.
  • Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure development of Data Self-Serve strategy fits business requirements.
  • Democratize data through a world class,always onreporting suite. Covering both descriptive and diagnostics analytics to surface actionable insight for day-to-day decision making within the business

Data & Architecture

  • Identify opportunities to support and develop the overall UK Analytics agenda – collaborate with other analytics leaders and be a champion for the wider data community.
  • Drive an external orientation (self, team, business) to ensure that the UK business stays current with new advances in analytics & new data sources – Bring recommendations & innovations into Entain on an ongoing basis.

Team Management

  • Mentor and coach individuals within Retention Analytics team and across the wider organization to improve knowledge of BI & Analytics, data literacy and leadership impact.
  • Managing the objective setting for the direct reports, whilst ensuring that they have the correct skills and tools to carry out their role

 


Qualifications

  • Experience either in an analytics or a business intelligence role in a large scale, complex, direct to consumer business.
  • Data and Analytics guru, who can turn numbers into a compelling business story.
  • Experienced translator, comfortable talking to commercial and technical experts to identify therightproblems, and the most effective solutions
  • Proven track record delivering significant analytical and reporting projects that have directly led to improved business performance – financial and volumetric.
  • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and problem solving skills in ambiguous and changing environments
  • Experience in the following analytical disciplines: Marketing Analytics, CRM Analytics, Optimisation, Business Intelligence, Commercial Analytics, Performance Reporting.
  • Experience using Cloud platforms for Analytics workloads (ideally in the Google stack but other cloud providers/platforms also suitable)
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL.
  • Some experience of managing 3rd party suppliers.
