In this role, you will provide multi-discipline communications and engagement support at senior officer level for our Safer and Stronger Communities directorate. This will span a range of communications and engagement disciplines including campaign management, media and public relations, digital communications, internal communications, event delivery and engagement and consultation activity. Reporting to the Communications and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient communications activity to support the directorate and Deputy Mayor for Safer and Stronger Communities, which includes the areas of policing, crime, resilience, and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS). The role will involve working with and advising key stakeholders and managing the day-to-day delivery of multiple communications and engagement projects. About you: Our ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of a range of communications and engagement techniques, approaches and procedures across social and digital content creation, campaigns, public relations, marketing communications and internal communication. You will proactively identify opportunities to raise awareness of the work of the Safer and Stronger Communities directorate and Deputy Mayor, in particular through engaging and accessible social media and digital content. You will have experience of devising and implementing campaigns, communications and engagement action plans for external and internal audiences, and experience of writing for publicity and promotional purposes and to a high standard. We are also looking for someone who can easily and quickly adapt, with the ability to cope with uncertainty and change retaining a professional, calm and efficient manner.
