Job Description

Aqovia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operational strategy and execution, with a core focus on driving revenue growth in AI/ML, Data, and software-defined services and solutions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our delivery management and fostering a high-performing and satisfied workforce. This role is ideal for an individual with a proven track record in scaling operations, optimising processes, and achieving ambitious business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive rapid revenue growth, particularly in AI/ML, Data, and software-defined services and solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities.
  • Oversee sales, marketing, and customer success operations.
  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven improvements.

Delivery Management:

  • Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of Aqovia's services.
  • Develop and maintain robust operational processes.
  • Implement quality control measures and performance standards.
  • Oversee project management and resource allocation.

Employee Satisfaction:

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Ensure alignment between employee performance and company goals.

Operational Excellence:

  • Streamline and optimise operational workflows.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

C-Suite Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the CEO and other C-suite executives to develop and execute the company's strategic vision.
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives.

Performance Management:

  • Define and track key operational metrics and OKRs accessible via simple and single view intelligence.
  • Regularly report on operational performance to the CEO and board of directors.
  • Identify and address areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably in a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven track record of success in scaling operations, driving revenue growth, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Candidates must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage business interactions and maintain a professional tone in all commercial correspondence.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Passion for building and motivating high-performing teams.
