Janes is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the team at our UK HQ in East Croydon. The Product Manager – Intara and Offline Services will be responsible for driving success of our offline, API based delivery of the Janes knowledge graph.
The purpose of the Product Manager (PM) is to ensure that Janes existing, and future products (Data sets, Solutions, and Delivery mechanisms) meet the customers’ and users’ needs in terms of knowledge and insight, and that they support their business process needs and objectives. The PM also owns product training and messaging to ensure that Sales and Marketing understand the value of Janes API.
The PM is responsible for the definition and ongoing management of the Intara and Offline Services solution at all stages of the product lifecycle including defining a product concept, roadmap and requirements. The PM designs and implements a comprehensive product strategy with an understanding of the user community and workflows specific to the military and intelligence communities The PM manages trade-offs throughout the development process in conjunction with the development and content teams. The PM works across the organization to develop the product through product launch and managing the ongoing operations of the product post launch. The PM is responsible for customer migration from legacy delivery models to new models. The PM is responsible for supporting the Sales team with commercial opportunities.
How you will contribute at Janes:
The PM will review on a regular basis their products’ adoption and customer satisfaction. The PM will work to define api functionality, content delivery and 3rd party integrations. The PM will develop product plans to meet the needs of Janes customers. Through continuous improvement product managers ensure product market fit for Janes products. They deliver the following
- Product definition and product roadmap
- Overall responsibility for Sourcing and implementation of new machine learning models.
- Product Messaging in collaboration with product marketing
- Product readiness training for sales and support staff
- Product Migration for offline customers to modern solutions
- Work with key stakeholders (Marketing, Integration and Product Market team) on implementing a new User Engagement program for ongoing user centred design validation for products
- Lead the business in understanding the changing requirements of users in the key audience categories.
- Understanding and communication of customer workflows of the product.
Requirements
The ideal skills and experience for this role are:
- Significant experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner developing complex data rich solutions
- Significant experience delivering information products or software to the Defence sector such as: Military, National security & Government, or Defence Industry
- Experience in APIs is required
- Experience working in the Military, National security or Defence industry is required. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of key defence or intelligence workflows.
- Experience of knowledge graphs is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Willingness to travel and work with a variety Defence Sector customers globally
- Familiarity with Janes products and solutions is a plus
