We have an exciting opportunity for a talented organiser of people and processes to join our rapidly expanding client based in London. As a Technical Product Manager within the Data Engineering team, you will play an integral role in driving the implementation of our product offerings and ensuring the business meets client demands for accurate and low-latency data services we provide.

You will leverage your expertise in Management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of Models and Processes within Modelling & Data Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Sim Engineering, Software Engineering, and Data Engineering, to develop and optimise Models & Processes within Modelling & Data Engineering.
• Collaborate with Modellers to define detailed requirements for the Models, in line with the Modelling Milestones Framework.
• Work with Modellers, Technology, and Product teams to ensure all documentation is complete for seamless integration into product offerings.
• Adopt a “Hands On” approach to Technical Product Management, actively testing and using the Models and Processes being built.
• Utilise agile methodologies to manage the Modelling & Data Engineering development lifecycle, responding swiftly to market trends, product feedback, and technological advancements.
• Serve as the primary liaison for Modelling-related communications, engaging with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to gather feedback and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Modellers to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the models, ensuring processes are in place for reporting back to the business.
• Promote best software development practices concerning code management and structure.
• Develop and maintain Modelling & Data Engineering documentation to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new joiners.

Person Specification:

Experience and Knowledge:Several years of Product Management experience within a fast paced environment such as entertainment, gaming or sports

Skills and Competencies:

Essential:

• Excellent presentation, documentation, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and analytical outlook.
• Understanding of typical Back Office Architecture and Modelling.
• Proficiency in mathematics, including matrices, probabilities, and statistics.
• Experience generating reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to explain model results and behaviours.
• Familiarity with SQL and at least 1 year of experience working with relational databases.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Data Engineering and development for machine learning.
• At least 1 year of experience working on the .NET Framework as a Software Engineer, particularly .NET 5+.
• At least 1 year of experience with concurrent development source control (GIT).

Qualifications:A degree (PhD, MSc, BSc) in a STEM subject or similar demonstrable numerate and quantitative skills.
