About the Job As a member of the Product group, you will collaborate closely with your counterparts in Product, Design, and Engineering to guide the development of innovative products that meet customer needs and drive business objectives. The product team requires a balance of critical thinking, management skills, commercial acumen, and technical understanding to deliver valuable and feasible products at scale. This product team is critical for ensuring product-market fit and delivering innovative solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Being part of a team means you'll leverage diverse perspectives to drive the product's success, balancing customer desires, design integrity, and technological feasibility. Key responsibilities Data Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to understand user behaviour, product performance, and market trends. Sets – and monitors - clear KPIs and metrics to measure product success. Conduct A/B testing and other experimental analyses to evaluate the impact of new features and product changes. BI Development: Design, develop, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize data effectively and provide actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Power BI. Optimise and streamline Power BI reports and dashboards to enhance performance and usability. Develop and maintain documentation related to Power BI solutions, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work in close partnership with product managers to align on strategic goals and provide necessary data insights for decision-making. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data collection / pipeline infrastructure supports accurate and comprehensive analysis. Communicate findings and actionable insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively. Strategic Recommendations: Identify growth opportunities and areas for product improvement based on data analysis and industry research. Provide recommendations on product enhancements, feature prioritisation, and user experience improvements. Market and Competitor Analysis: In collaboration with Product Marketing, support regular analysis on market trends and competitive landscape to inform product strategy. Operational Efficiency: Implement and refine processes to enhance data quality and analysis operations. Develop best practices for product analytics within the team and across the organisation. Product Development: Development and support for Power BI dashboards embedded in the product as well as the creation of user “interactions” within the product. Desired Experience Analytical Skills: High proficiency with Power BI. Strong ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets to derive meaningful insights. Knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design (e.g., A/B testing). Experience with BI tools and data warehousing solutions. Technical Proficiency: Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on building and embedding Power BI reports and dashboards. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling. Experience with integrating Power BI dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded or similar technologies. Solid understanding of data visualisation best practices and principles. Experience with SQL and other data querying languages is a plus. Knowledge of Azure services and cloud computing principles is desirable. Product Understanding: Solid understanding of SaaS product lifecycle and metrics. Ability to translate business questions into analytical problems and communicate findings. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences. Strong writing skills for creating clear and concise reports and documentation. Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment with strong self-management skills including organisation, attention to detail, and time management. Business & Commercial Acumen: Understanding of B2B market dynamics and business models. Ability to align data analysis with strategic business goals. Agile Methodologies: Embraces an iterative process that allows for continuous improvement in both product development and the collaborative process. Experience working within Agile / Scrum frameworks, with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs. Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
