JobDescription:
Position Summary Thisposition provides critical support services to the various ODGAexecutive branch agency partners by assisting agency staff in theprocurement of goods and services to enable them to meet theiroperational goals and the ODGAs mission. This position manages therelationships and transactions within the ODGA as it relates to allpurchases and receivables. Maintaining records for all vendors keysuppliers and the negotiated purchasing agreements between the ODGAand any other agency or organization. In addition this role will beresponsible for assisting with the procurement process includingcontract management contract negotiation and preparation ofpurchase orders for the ODGA. You will also be responsible forensuring that our commitments to customers are met.
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrated abilityto interpret and apply state procurement regulations policies andprocedures.
Working knowledge of state and familiaritywith state government procurement policies for the purchase ofgoods and services.
Aid with maintaining Policy andadhering to code of Virginia standards for the ODGA.
Ability to plan organize and prioritize a variety of procurementprocesses.
Demonstrated ability to effectivelycommunicate orally and in writing.
Skill in the use ofMS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and other databases and a stateor federal electronic procurement system.
Ability toorganize and maintain contract files and records.
Ability to work independently managing own time and work. RequiredExperience
Proven work experience as a Finance Analystor similar role.
Considerable understanding of AccountPayables and Account Receivables processes.
Goodworking knowledge of purchasing strategies.
Excellentcommunication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills.
Desired Experience
A good working knowledgeof purchasing strategies.
A solid understanding ofpurchasing and invoicing systems.
A good understandingof reviewing contracts and MOUs
