Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Support team in NELFT within the Acute and Rehabilitation Integrated Care Directorate.
The role involves working as part of a dynamic team in delivering a high quality and effective business support service across the Directorate.
The Business Support officer (BSO) will be required to Support the Business Manager in all operational aspects of business, financial, activity and performance management. This will include supporting the monitoring and delivery of directorate KPIs, CQUINS and contracted performance
targets and working with the directorate leadership team to take corrective action to address poor performance as necessary.
The role requires full commitment to support Acute & Rehabilitation Directorate's senior management embed a culture of performance
management across all divisions.

Main duties of the job

 Main duties of the job
• Performance support – analysis of performance data, ensuring high levels of accuracy are achieved and discrepancies are eliminated
appropriately.
• Business Management – the post holder will provide support to Business Manager in producing analytic services and products on
schedule and within agreed resources, ensuring that products are of high quality and valuable to the trust.
• Governance – the post holder will implement Trust and directorate risk management initiatives, in a meaningful way, including controls
assurance with support from business manager
• Support in project management activity and deliverance to meet deadlines and objectives.
 
• The post holder should be able to analyse and interpret performance data, understand business management functions and activity and
understand the principles of governance with the NHS to ensure quality and patient safety is achieved throughout the trust.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant
currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).


Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust
on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training,
systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team,
senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will
be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
