The shift pattern for this position is 09.00-17.00. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 health care support worker to join our North East Glasgow Older Peoples Community mental health team. The function of the CMHT is to meet the mental health needs functional and organic - of older adults living within the North East of Glasgow. It is essential the post holder can work both, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and alone as home visits are integral to the role. For this reason a clean driving license and access to a car are essential. This role will support the physical health care monitoring of our patients and experience/willingness to take part in venepuncture would be advantageous. The post holder will support the delivery of our Memory Clinic and will provide support to assessment with a variety of screening tools. The post holder will participate in our desk duty system. Regular supervision and support will be provided by line manager and opportunities available to support learning and development will be supported. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
