The Role:
We are seeking an accomplished Head of Legal Recruitment to oversee our established Legal Division and position Heat Recruitment as the preferred partner for legal businesses across the UK.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced senior recruiter to take a strategic leadership role, with full autonomy to drive the growth and direction of the Legal Division. The successful candidate will also lead and inspire a dedicated team of recruiters, ensuring excellence and success within a highly competitive market.
Key Duties:
- Build influential relationships with clients, leveraging extensive knowledge of the legal recruitment sector to understand and address their specific needs.
- Develop and implement a growth strategy focused on increasing client portfolio revenue and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Identify market trends and client requirements to build a robust short, medium, and long-term business development pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
- Attend and lead client meetings to drive business development opportunities, strengthen relationships, and position Heat Recruitment as a trusted partner.
- Proactively create opportunities to cross-sell additional recruitment and business services.
- Build and maintain strong consultative relationships with candidates, ensuring a comprehensive talent pool of high-calibre legal professionals.
- Deliver exceptional aftercare to ensure successful onboarding and long-term candidate satisfaction.
- Consistently achieve revenue targets through effective self-management and strategic planning.
- Lead by example in all aspects of performance, setting a high standard for the team to follow.
- Monitor productivity levels within the division, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members, acting as a referral point for escalations and complex queries.
- Mentor a team of consultants by offering guidance and supporting their professional development.
- Identify areas for team improvement and make actionable recommendations to enhance performance and results.
- Represent the Legal Division at networking and business events, strengthening the Heat Recruitment brand in the legal sector.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and a consultative approach to reinforce the division’s position as a leader in legal recruitment.
What are we looking for?
- Proven billing experience as a principal recruiter within the legal sector, with a sound understanding of the UK legal market.
- A natural leader who can inspire, manage, and grow a team of recruiters.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop lasting relationships with clients and candidates
- A driven, ambitious, and entrepreneurial mindset.
