The Opportunity:

They are seeking a Desk Data Scientist to join our data science and machine learning team, closely collaborating with the Crude trading desk. In this role, you will develop and deploy machine learning models to enhance trading operations, addressing some of the most complex challenges in the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Crude trading desk and technology teams to identify AI/ML opportunities.
• Lead the development, deployment, and optimization of machine learning models that drive trading strategy improvements.
• Work with complex datasets to uncover insights and develop impactful visualizations.
• Ensure seamless integration of ML solutions into existing systems to drive adoption and efficiency.

Who Is This For:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields (Ph.D. is a plus).
• 3-5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in an industry setting.
• Proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Strong experience in time series modelling and working with complex, multi-dimensional datasets.
• Industry experience within energy or commodities trading is a plus but not required.
