Data Protection Officer

We are looking to recruit a Contractor for 3- 6 months on hybrid work basis. You will provide specialist consultancy support to the business in order to meet data protection obligations and develop the data protection team.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver expert data protection consultancy to senior leadership, ensuring strategic initiatives and projects are implemented in full compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  
  
• Complete the data retention and deletion project. This includes:
  
  
• Updating ROPAs for all business areas
  
  
• Complete three key retention challenges already identified by the business.
  
  
• Future proof the business retention arrangements to avoid further challenges.
  
  
• Provide support and guidance to DP team (team of two) to strengthen their capabilities and skills.
  
  
• Provide market insights into artificial intelligence to identify and develop efficiencies within the DP team and improve broader business understanding of requirements.
  
  
• Work with the wider Risk and Compliance team to increase their knowledge on DP good market practice.
  
  Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
  
  
• Solid experience in Data Protection – you’ve done this before and can bring that expertise straight in.
  
  
• Comfortable working in regulated environment.
  
  
• Ability to pick things up quickly and run with them.
  
  
• Confident communicator who can work with a range of stakeholders.
