What Your Role Will Look Like


Reporting directly into the VP of Engineering as a Data Engineer, you will work in a small squad consisting of a Product Owner, Data Analyst, Data Scientist and Software Engineers. Working independently within the squad as aData Engineeryour responsibilities will include helping with a vision for the future architecture of this complex data system, adding innovative ideas that use the latest cutting edge technology.


What Skills You’ll Need


● Bachelor degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study

● 4 + Years commercial experience developing Spark Jobs using Scala

● Commercial experience using Java

● Experience in data processing using traditional and distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark, AWS)

● Experience designing data models and data warehouses.

● Strong understanding and application of data structures and algorithms

● Experience in SQL, NoSQL database management systems

● Good knowledge working cloud technologies (AWS, GCP)

Desirable Skills

● Confident with building complex ETL workflows (Luigi, Airflow)

● Commercial experience using messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka)

● Experience using orchestration software (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt)

● Good knowledge using monitoring software (ELK stack)
