Data Engineer

A Data Engineer is required to join a global consultancy providing top quality Data solutions to the Government sector.

In this exciting Data Engineer role, you will work on designing, constructing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and transforming raw data.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who comes from a Data Engineering background looking to step into the world of government sector. You will get to join a supportive, collaborative team where you will have the trust and autonomy to deliver and realise benefits for the business.
This is a hybrid role where you can expect to be in London once a week, you will also be required to go through BPSS clearance.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from various sources. Create and manage databases and data warehouses to store large amounts of data securely and efficiently. Integrate data from various internal sources, ensuring compatibility and consistency across different datasets. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, BAs, ETL Developers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement suitable needs. Automate data workflows and ensure that data pipelines run smoothly with minimal manual intervention. Stay updated with the latest tools, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.


To be considered you will bring broad experience in a Data Engineer role. You will have demonstratable experience in implementing Spark and Big Data Solutions.
Other experience required:

Database Management experience using SQL and NoSQL Strong knowledge of AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, EMR, etc. Proficiency with tools like Apache, Kafka, Spark, Airflow. Programming experience using Python. Hands-on experience of IaC using Terraform. In return, you can expect a salary of up to £67,000 plus excellent benefits.
