Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Investigation:
  • Conduct thorough analytical and data-driven investigations into data systems.
  • Perform forensic analysis at the attribute level to identify inconsistencies or issues.
  • Work closely with business analysts to translate business needs into technical data requirements.
  • Data Management:
    • Manage data lineage, ensuring transparency as data moves through various systems and hubs.
    • Execute data reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
    • Ensure data quality by implementing and monitoring control frameworks for data transformations.
    • Address and accelerate data remediation efforts across various data sets and systems.
  • Data Governance & Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and oversee data governance strategies for critical data elements used in risk measurements and reporting.
    • Formalize data lineage and data quality rules using enterprise-wide tools such as Collibra and Tableau.
    • Define and enforce data quality metrics, standards, and scorecards.
  • Documentation & Process Optimization:
    • Unravel complex coded logic within data systems and document processes thoroughly.
    • Document detailed data flows, including mappings, translations, and system interactions.
    • Provide high-level documentation of data models, taxonomy, and data quality controls.
  • Project Support:
    • Collaborate with product teams using data analytics techniques to enhance data quality control processes for loan products.
    • Identify weaknesses in current processes and propose data quality improvements.
    • Support the development of BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) and functional specifications for data enhancements.
    • Develop prototypes or proof-of-concepts to validate proposed data enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
    • 8-10 years of relevant experience in data analysis and management.
    • Proven experience in working with regulatory requirements, especially in the finance sector.

 

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
    • Experience with data governance tools like Collibra.
    • Familiarity with MS Power Apps and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Understanding of FR Y-14 regulatory requirements for wholesale lending.
    • Experience in managing data systems and attributes in complex financial environments.
    • Knowledge of wholesale lending products, particularly loans.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to identify and resolve data transformation issues effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities to address data quality and reconciliation challenges.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to document data processes clearly and concisely.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
