Communications and Engagement Manager (Fostering)
- Contract- Fixed term for 12 months
- Salary -£42,708 - £46,731
- Location - Hybrid mixture of working remotely and based at the Fostering Hub (at Rochdale Council), with occasional meetings at GMCA (in central Manchester)

Foster for Greater Manchester is our city-region programme which brings together the ten Local Authorities in the city-region, to drive up foster carers and find homes for children in care within communities.
This 12 month fixed term communications role will have a primary focus to drive up enquiries to foster through the development and delivery of compelling, engaging content.

About you
The successful applicant to this role will be pivotal in leading and delivering communications and engagement for the regional fostering programme.
You will have a proven track record of delivering a high-profile programme of work against challenging timescales with tenacity and professionalism.
You will have extensive experience of working in the communications and campaign space, both through developing or commissioning activity.
You will have clear, evidenced experience of delivering targeted campaigns which deliver results and tangible outcomes.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture relationships quickly and effectively. You will be able to manage your own workloads, work with autonomy and make decisions independently.
Whilst this role sits within the Communication and Engagement team at the GMCA, but will support the work of the Fostering Hub which is provided by Rochdale Council.
