This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Education Facilitator, you will work as part of our dynamic multi-professional Clinical Education Team. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing engaging training programmes that integrate advanced technologies such as VR, XR, and AI to enhance learning experiences and patient outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in delivering clinical education programmes across the Trust and ensuring that these programmes are aligned with best practices and relevant educational frameworks. You will also be involved in faculty development initiatives, quality assurance, and collaboration with key stakeholders to promote inter-professional education and Human Factors Ergonomics.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

Current and appropriate level of professional/ statutory Registration for area of specialty RN/ RM/ HCPC/MD Evidence of professional post registration qualification in appropriate area of specialty or equivalent post qualification experience Educated to BSc / 1st degree level or equivalent qualification / training and experience

Desirable

Recognised teaching qualification or demonstrates equivalent highly developed specialist knowledge, skills, and formal teaching experience at level 6

Experience

Essential

Post registration clinical practice experience Clinical experience working autonomously within the specialist area delivering effective patient focused care Teaching experience within a range of settings , formal / informal, individuals / small / large groups, multidisciplinary, clinical / non-clinical environments, face to face / remotely. Well-developed understanding of multidisciplinary issues and a commitment to multidisciplinary working

Desirable

Experience in using AI, VR, and XR technologies Experience in designing, planning, delivering, and evaluating courses using experiential learning and simulation-based methodologies Experience in conducting educational research and contributing to research papers and publications. Knowledge and understanding of health professional education and curricula

Demonstrated proficiency in clinical practice with a strong emphasis on evidence-based methods Routinely applies evidence-based research to clinical and educational practice across a range of settings Evidence of facilitating learning of multi-disciplinary learners in a range of settings , in/formal, individuals / groups, non/clinical environments, face to face / remotely Able to provide support and feedback to a range of learners Effective organisation and time management skills and ability to work to agreed deadlines Proven ability to work autonomously; proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and achieve results through others Able to work with analysing, interpreting, and presenting information from diverse sources, facilitating informed decision-making through written reports and presentations.
