Job Description
We are seeking a Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to lead the technical excellence, compliance and governance of Assystem UK. In this executive-level role, you will shape and execute the technical vision of the business, ensuring engineering practices meet our high standards and future vision.
Lead the development and communication of Assystem’s technical strategy aligned with business goals
Oversee the technical governance team to ensure best practices in quality and standards
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on technical and R&D initiatives and intellectual property
Ensure successful technical delivery of projects, meeting regulatory standards and client expectations
Engage with clients, providing technical expertise and supporting business growth
Lead technology adoption across the company, championing AI, machine learning, and data analytics
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Systems Engineering
Extensive experience in the nuclear or defence sectors with proven technical leadership
Experience leading large-scale engineering projects and managing technical governance
In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations (ISO19443, ISO19650)
Proven expertise in strategic planning and driving technological innovation
Desired Skills
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Engineering
Experience integrating acquired companies’ capabilities
Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies (AI, machine learning, data analytics)
Strong client engagement and business development skills
Fellowship in professional bodies such as IMeCHE, IEE

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
