New Role – CTO - Looking for a Senior Technology Leader with Scale -up and Commercial experience.

We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This role presents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic business within the event services sector, who provide software products (SaaS or full-service packages - Event Intelligence) as a full service. Your role in the business will be to drive technology momentum and revenue across the current services as well as targeting new markets in which the product can be implemented.

You will be a strong leader, commercial astute, technically minded, proven track record in scaling up a business all coupled with experience of working in a private equity business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial and strategic Leadership across all parts of the business to scale-up
  
  
• Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with the overall business objectives
  
  
• Lead the sales and business development function to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones
  
  
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to enhance current offerings and identify opportunities for new solutions
  
  Technology Strategy and Planning:
  
  
• Develop and communicate the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  
  
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends relevant to the industry and assess their potential impact on the client's business.
  
  Product Development and Innovation:
  
  
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative technology solutions, products, and services to meet the needs of the customers.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital solutions.
  
  Technology Architecture and Infrastructure:
  
  
• Define and maintain the overall technology architecture, infrastructure, and platforms to support the customers operations and growth.
  
  
• Ensure the security, scalability, reliability, and performance of the customers systems and applications.
  
  Software Development and Engineering:
  
  
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  
  
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
  
  Data Management and Analytics:
  
  
• Establish data management strategies, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure the integrity, quality, and accessibility of the customers data assets.
  
  
• Leverage data analytics and business intelligence tools to derive actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
  
  Cybersecurity and Compliance:
  
  
• Implement robust cybersecurity measures and controls to protect the customers systems, networks, and data from security threats and vulnerabilities.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing information security and data privacy.
  
  Vendor Management and Partnerships:
  
  
• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners to optimize performance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
  
  
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and other agreements with external partners as needed.
  
  Qualifications and Experience:
  
  
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
  
• Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Product Engineering, or senior technology leadership role preferably within Events, Media or Advertising Services.
  
  
• A proven track record of revenue and commercial growth within a "Scale-up Business" is essential.
  
  
• Experience working across all areas of a business (e.g- marketing, product etc) driving commercial strategy across different business lines
  
  
• Deep technical expertise in software development, systems architecture, cloud computing, and emerging technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence).
  
  
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor cross-functional teams.
  
  
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation, digital transformation, and technology-driven business growth.
  
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, technical teams, and external partners.
