This role is based in our new Soho Place office – opened in 2023 - in the heart of Central London and home to our Research Lab. The role In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in supporting operational decision-making by leveraging data insights and analytics. Working in our Technology Operations team, you will have the opportunity to improve the efficiency of critical engineering workflows, processes and systems that support the day-to-day activities of our Technology function. This internship will provide you with exposure to complex operational challenges in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, while allowing you to apply your analytical skills to support and enhance our decision-making processes. Key responsibilities Gathering, analysing and visualising data to support operational improvements and strategic decision-making for the Technology function Collaborating with various stakeholders across the function to map key workflows, identify bottlenecks and recommend process optimisations Working with business intelligence tools - like Tableau and Power BI - to create dynamic reports and dashboards that provide real-time insights into engineering performance Supporting in resourcing capacity planning, system usage analysis and other operational activities that drive efficiency and agility across our technology platforms Producing timely and accurate reporting packs for various audiences, including senior management Engaging in projects related to incident management, security, and compliance to help improve the overall health and performance of our platforms. Who are we looking for? We are looking for penultimate-year undergraduate or master's students with a strong interest in data analysis, operations and technology. Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience: Currently pursuing a degree in a numerical or analytical subject, such as Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Management, Data Science or Computer Science Strong interest in business operations and process improvement, with the ability to apply data-driven approaches Enthusiasm for data visualisation and the use of tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python, Alteryx, SQL or similar analytics platforms Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team This internship offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by improving the efficiency and performance of our engineering operations, while gaining valuable experience in the financial technology sector.
