There are 4 posts available in these locations and with different hours and shifts patterns (these may vary due to the needs of the service):

Glasgow Royal Infirmary, 37 hours 0900-17.00 (x4 days) and 0900-1630 (x1 day) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital 37 hours, 4 days per week New Victoria ACH 18.5 hours, 3 days per week  Vale of Leven Hospital 14.8 2 days per week, start time 08:30

 (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

The Audiology Service provides a highly specialist clinical, rehabilitative and technical support to patients referred to the service via various routes. The role of the band 6 Audiologist is to deliver audiology support for work of both a complex and routine nature.

Your main duties will be:

specialist audiological assessment rehabilitation of patients and development implementation and evaluation programmes of care to ensure delivery of high quality care for patients provide support to the Head of Audiology to achieve service objectives and waiting times targets 

The work undertaken can be delivered via numerous locations including large district general hospitals, health centres, community hospitals, nursing homes and patient homes; your location for duty may vary to suit the needs of the service. It is essential that you hold an Audiology BSc or equivalent such as BAAT Parts 1 & 2 with NC Physiological Measurement and can demonstrate significant post-qualification experience. Current full registration with The Academy for Healthcare Science (RCCP) is essential for this post.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. 

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
