An opportunity has arisen within our Community Children's Multi-Disciplinary Team for a band 3 administrator.
You will provide a high quality confidential and comprehensive administrative service within the team. This is a part time fixed term contract for 12 months post based at Thurrock Community Hospital, Thurrock. You will work as part of the admin team for the community opportunity will allow you to use your administrative skills and to establish good working relationships with colleagues. You will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to prioritise your workload ensuring that work is completed in a safe and timely manner. In addition, we are seeking someone who is able to warmly welcome patients into the building whilst on occasions where reception cover is needed.

Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the post include: typing/editing of letters; taking calls/messages and communicating these effectively within the team; ensuring the email inbox is up-to-date; using the electronic patient record system and tasks; ordering equipment and supplies; working with internal administrative processes. You may also be asked to cover reception and warmly welcome patients and families/carers into our building.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,122 per annum pro rata).
