Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategist – Investment Management

This ambitious initiative spans multiple departments—including investment, operations, and finance—and reflects a long-term commitment to embedding artificial intelligence at the core of the organisation’s decision-making and operational capabilities.We are seeking a Senior AI Strategist to serve as the technical architect and visionary behind this strategic transformation. In this high-impact role, the successful candidate will provide expert-level guidance and thought leadership, working in close partnership with senior business stakeholders and an established third-party delivery partner.This is a rare opportunity to shape the long-term AI strategy of a sophisticated financial institution—playing a central role in defining the roadmap, overseeing the design of high-value initiatives, and ensuring delivery of measurable innovation and business outcomes.Responsibilities:

• Define, refine, and influence the firm’s enterprise-wide AI strategy and implementation roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical leadership across a diverse range of functions including investment, operations, and finance.
• Collaborate with an external delivery partner to steer the design and execution of AI initiatives, ensuring best-in-class outcomes.
• Act as an internal thought leader, identifying and promoting innovative AI applications that deliver competitive advantage.
• Communicate complex AI methodologies and insights in a clear, strategic manner to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
• Advise the business on emerging AI capabilities, balancing visionary thinking with practical feasibility and organisational readiness.
• Ensure alignment between business priorities and technical execution through continuous stakeholder engagement and oversight.

What we're looking for:

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering AI solutions—demonstrating not only technical implementation skills but also architectural and strategic thinking.
• Prior experience within investment management or the broader financial services sector is essential. A strong grasp of investment processes and financial operations is critical to success in this role.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior, intellectually rigorous professionals.
