The CPQ Architect/Senior Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex Configure‑Price‑Quote (CPQ) solutions, primarily on Salesforce CPQ—to support end‑to‑end quote‑to‑cash (QTC) processes. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic solution architecture, driving scalable configurations, pricing logic, approval workflows, and integrations with CRM, ERP, Billing, and other enterprise systems. The architect/developer will lead technical design, oversee system governance, mentor development teams, and translate business requirements into high‑quality, maintainable CPQ solutions across the full SDLC.

Please note this is a hybrid position that requires attendance in the office at least 2 days per week.

What will I be doing?

As a Salesforce Architect, you will design, build, and maintain complex Configure‑Price‑Quote (CPQ) solutions—primarily on Salesforce CPQ—supporting end‑to‑end quote‑to‑cash processes. You’ll blend deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, ensuring scalable configurations, pricing logic, approval workflows, and integrations across CRM, ERP, Billing, and other enterprise systems.

You will also be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Leading technical architecture for CPQ solutions including product catalogues, bundles, pricing models, approvals, and contracting,
  • Defining long‑term architectural strategy for robust and maintainable CPQ implementations,
  • Creating technical design documentation, UML diagrams, and best‑practice solution frameworks,
  • Configuring CPQ rules, workflows, pricing logic, templates, and product structures,
  • Developing custom functionality with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, JavaScript or BML/Groovy depending on the platform,
  • Building and maintaining integrations via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware,
  • Overseeing delivery quality through code reviews, standards compliance, and performance optimisation,
  • Establishing governance, coding standards, security, and CI/CD best practices,
  • Architecting integrations across Salesforce, ERP, Billing, Order Management and other enterprise systems,
  • Mentoring developers and supporting cross‑functional technical stakeholders.
  • Leading unit, integration, and UAT testing cycles,
  • Providing production support and ongoing optimisation.

What experience do I need

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce professional who can lead technical design, deliver high‑quality CPQ solutions, and collaborate effectively with commercial and technical teams.

Experience

  • Extensive Salesforce and CPQ experience,
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, and Salesforce Billing,
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale CPQ solutions.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Salesforce CPQ experience (pricing, rules, bundles, approvals),
  • Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL, Flows,
  • Experience building REST/SOAP API integrations,
  • Familiarity with data loader, ETL tools, and CPQ data models.

Methodologies & Soft Skills

  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience,
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills,
  • Ability to lead technical workstreams and mentor junior team members.

Certifications (Nice to have)

  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist,
  • Platform Developer I/II,
  • Salesforce Administrator / Advanced Administrator,
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect (preferred).

Benefits:

  • 23 days’ holiday + all public holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years of service,

  • Additional day off for your birthday,

  • Private medical insurance which covers you, your cohabiting partner and children,

  • Life insurance of 4 times your base salary,

  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme,

  • Enhanced family leave,

  • Confidential Employee Assistance Program,

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising AI jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.

AI Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Artificial intelligence is creating jobs faster than the market can name them. New roles are appearing every quarter, existing titles are splitting into specialisms, and the technologies underpinning it all are evolving at a pace that makes even last year's job descriptions feel dated. For job seekers, this presents a genuinely unusual challenge. In most industries, career planning means understanding a relatively stable landscape and working out where you fit within it. In AI, the landscape itself is being redrawn in real time. The roles with the most hiring activity in 2028 may not yet have a widely agreed job title in 2026. That's not a reason to feel overwhelmed — it's a reason to get informed. The candidates who thrive in this market aren't necessarily those with the longest CVs or the most credentials. They're the ones who understand the direction of travel: which skills are gaining value, which technologies are driving employer decisions, and how the definition of an "AI job" is expanding well beyond the tech sector. This article breaks down what the UK AI jobs market is likely to look like over the next three years — covering emerging job titles, the technologies reshaping hiring, the skills employers are prioritising, and how to position yourself ahead of the curve rather than behind it.

New AI Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Reshaping AI Careers

The artificial intelligence job market in the UK is evolving at an extraordinary pace. With record-breaking investment, government backing, and a surge in enterprise adoption, the landscape of AI employers is shifting rapidly. For candidates exploring opportunities on ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, understanding who is hiring next is just as important as understanding what skills are in demand. In this article, we explore the new and emerging AI employers to watch in 2026, focusing on organisations that have recently secured funding, won major contracts, or expanded their UK footprint. From cutting-edge startups to global giants doubling down on Britain, these companies represent the next wave of AI career opportunities.
