Our client is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Preston, delivering innovative technology solutions to businesses across the UK. As they continue to expand the AI and automation capabilities, they are looking for the next generation of talent to join the team and help shape the future of how they deliver technology.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting new position designed for someone who is early in their IT career and ready to take their first step into a specialist AI and automation-focused role. We are looking for someone who has two years IT support experience working on a busy service desk ideally in the MSP space.

We are not looking for years of commercial AI experience. We are looking for someone with solid Microsoft and MSP foundations, a genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technology, and the drive to develop quickly into a specialist engineer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

* Supporting the implementation and development of AI and automation solutions for our clients

* Working alongside experienced engineers to design and deliver Microsoft AI-powered workflows

* Contributing to the development and rollout of Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and Azure AI solutions

* Assisting with the analysis of client environments to identify AI and automation opportunities

* Documenting processes, solutions and outcomes to a high standard

* Keeping up to date with the latest developments in AI technology and Microsoft's product roadmap

* Supporting the wider service desk team during busy periods where required

ABOUT YOU

* 1–2 years’ experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment

* Background in a Service Desk, IT Support, or Technical Support role

* Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID

* Genuine enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence, automation and emerging technology

* Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to your own development

* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

* Right to work in the UK — please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

* Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform or Azure AI Services

* Basic scripting experience in PowerShell or Python

* AI-related certifications or personal projects

* Experience supporting cloud-first Microsoft environments

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within your first 12 months you will have:

* Transitioned from a support-focused mindset into an AI and automation-focused role

* Developed solid working knowledge of Microsoft AI technologies and solutions

* Contributed to live AI implementation and automation projects for our clients

* Built the foundations for progression into a mid-level AI Engineer position

WHAT WE OFFER

* Salary up to £35,000 basic + 10% annual bonus

* Hybrid working — 3 days in the Preston HQ, 2 days from home
