This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Intelligence & Visualisation Lead to join a data-driven organisation undergoing significant transformation. You'll play a key role in shaping reporting capability, enhancing self-service analytics, and delivering impactful insights that influence decision-making across the business.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The BI Lead will:

  • Develop, optimise, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Enhance existing reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities
  • Work with semantic layers and data models to ensure reporting accuracy and performance
  • Write and maintain SQL and DAX to support reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
  • Support dashboard governance, documentation, and reporting best practices
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business stakeholders on key reporting initiatives
  • Contribute to agile delivery processes, sprint planning, and continuous improvement
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI-enabled analytics tools within reporting workflows

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong commercial experience with Power BI development, including both front-end visualisation and back-end modelling
  • Excellent SQL skills for querying, transforming, and structuring data
  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles, including concepts such as star schema, Kimball methodology, and semantic modelling
  • Experience developing and maintaining DAX measures and calculations
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience working within agile environments and managing prioritised workloads
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Any experience with CI/CD is desirable
