AI Automation & Governance Lead

The Team & Focus of the Role

We have an exciting, new opportunity for an AI Automation & Governance Lead to come and join our Systems team (as part of our wider IT function) at our Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch.

Our IT department is responsible for delivering secure, reliable and innovative technology services that support Fisher German's business operations, client services and strategic objectives. You will be responsible for driving the effective, responsible and compliant adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the firm.

As a regulated business and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the responsible use of AI, data governance and information security are fundamental to maintaining professional standards and client trust. The successful candidate will work closely to manage AI-related risks, ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and promote the ethical use of AI across the organisation.

The role will also be responsible for managing AI services and licensing, including Microsoft Copilot, developing AI policies and standards, sharing best practice, supporting user adoption, and ensuring the business derives measurable value from its investment in AI technologies.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours), permanent role, based at our Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch. We also operate a hybrid working policy.

Duties will include:

• Leading the organisation's AI Working Group and coordinate AI initiatives across the business.
• Develop, maintain and deliver the organisation's AI strategy and roadmap, as well as act as the principal advisor on AI technologies, opportunities and risks.
• Develop and maintain the organisation's AI governance framework, policies and standards and ensure that AI solutions are implemented and operated in accordance with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, UK data protection legislation, intellectual property requirements and other relevant regulations.
• Ensure AI adoption aligns with RICS professional standards and obligations.
• Ensure users understand how to use AI technologies safely, responsibly and effectively, as well as establish guidance, standards and training materials to support AI adoption.
• Manage Microsoft Copilot and other AI-related licensing within Microsoft 365, monitoring license utilisation, adoption and return on investment, as well as recommendation for future licensing requirements and AI investments.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and opportunities, including the review of business processes and identify where AI or automation can improve efficiency, quality or customer outcomes.
• Identity overlapping or duplicate AI services in order to rationalise the organisations use.

• Understanding of AI-related risks, ethics, information security and data protection requirements.
