OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
Core Compliance is responsible for supporting the programme of change within the department. Included in this remit is Data Governance, both from a Change and BAU side.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Main Purpose and Accountability of the Role
You have accountability for the following named departments:Centre of Excellence 'COE' & Transformation Delivery ManagementRoles, Scope and Reporting StructureAuthority from, and Reporting to:Head of Core Compliance COE & Transformation (COET)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BAUAct as a centralised point of contact for Core Compliance for any questions relating to Data. Support the Core Compliance Data Steward.Maintain the department's data policies, standards, and procedures. Understand the data flows into Core Compliance systems from source including the controls in place. Document and escalate gaps. Collaborate with other data governance teams locally and in other regions to ensure best practices.Manage the Core Compliance Data Issue management process. Coordinate and create material for regular meetings and seek solutions for open issues. Escalate to management where required.Contribute to and lead data governance activities and forums. Create data quality metrics, dashboards, and reports where required.Oversee the department's EUCs ensuring adherence to the regional policy. Support the attestation process.Support the data in key Core Compliance systems including surveillance platforms. Ensure daily checks are in place; troubleshoot issues, and introduce tools to track performance. Liaise with technology to seek robust solutions.Identify gaps in current BAU activities and implement improvements.ChangeSupport Change management from a Data perspective including data impact assessments for projects, updates to data landscapes and controls. Support testing of data quality and data reconciliation. Track data actions and outcomes for any project assigned in an auditable format.Contribute to securing project funding. Work with colleagues across Technology, Head office and other regions to provide transparency into the region's data requirements. Complete ROI where required.Establish business project related meetings for assigned projects ensuring Terms of Reference (ToR) are in place where required.Technical CapabilityIdentify and understand issues, risks or dependencies of any projects you are working on; swiftly action and document resolutions.Understand effective ways to ensure data governance and seek solutions to data issues.Manage conflicting priorities and re-prioritise work accordingly.Work effectively with others both inside and outside of Core Compliance, building and promoting effective working relationships.Make result-driven decisions and manage large workloads and tight deadlines.Use a range of communication skills to adapt to various clients, stakeholders and external parties.Relationship with other functions and stakeholdersMaintain and enhance working relationships with stakeholders across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and seek opportunities for collaboration.WORK EXPERIENCEExperience working in or with Financial organisations.Experience of Compliance data helpful but not mandatory.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
