Head of Networks (Power Systems) North England &Scotland £90-£100K The Networks and Innovation team is divided intothree sections, each of which specialises in a particular area ofconsulting work: Data Science, Networks, and Innovation. Afull-time Head of Networks with technical proficiency in powersystem planning and analysis and a firm grasp of the GB powersystem is what we are searching for. An accomplished power systemsengineer with managerial experience who is eager to guide adeveloping group of driven engineers providing power systemsservices in the dynamic utility industry is a good fit for thisposition. Responsibilities: - Identify new business opportunitiesand areas for growth - Maintain a healthy pipeline of work for thedepartment - Promote a collaborative and high-performing teamenvironment within the department - Creating and organisingFramework agreements with important clients - Recruiting andtraining to guarantee the department has the necessary skills tocomplete projects - Leading, mentoring, and developing consultantswithin the department - Staff development and line management -Including this in the yearly business plan for the N&I team -Sharing expertise and providing thought leadership - Representingthe division, team, and organisation at networking gatherings,conferences, and seminars Qualifications: • An electricalengineering degree, or a degree in another pertinent field • Morethan eight years of experience in the regulated energy sector •Previous experience working for a consulting firm • Expertise inpower systems analysis and network modelling • Demonstratedexperience managing and directing technical teams with more thanten members • Overseeing sizable engineering initiatives • Abusiness understanding of consulting projects, which includesestablishing and following project budgets, carefully examining andcomprehending contractual commitments, and identifying and reducingcommercial risks • Prior experience in client-facing roles andcompany development • The capacity to interact with clients andbuild enduring, mutually beneficial relationships • Currentlypursuing or has attained chartered status If you or anyone in yournetwork is interested, please send your CV
