Responsibilities

  • Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GPS, laser scanners, drones, and data collectors.

  • Accurately and consistently record underground utility assets and manhole inspection reports, along with above ground topographical surveying.

  • Work with your surveying mentor as their assistant to completed surveys in line with Company, RICS and industry PAS 128 standards.

  • Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to our client’s expectations.

  • Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.

  • Checking the quality of information collected on site, and the successful transition to deliverables.

  • Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.

  • Any other duties as required by the business.

  • You will be rotated across all departments depending on workloads to enable you to gain experience across the full spectrum of surveying, allowing you to decide which path best suits you.

    Requirements

  • This can be a fast-paced environment that changes quickly, so candidates need to be able to adapt to change and prioritising workloads.

  • We want somebody who can multi-task, be adaptable and become a valuable member of the team.

  • Flexibility to travel to our sites nationwide.

  • Able to work collaboratively in a team and deal with clients on site.

  • Clean & Full driving License

    This role is open to anyone who is seeking to start a new career, you will need to be physically fit as you will be on your feet all day and may have to lift manhole covers on a regular basis.

    In return they are offering a good starting package, starting at £27 to 32k for a standard 40 hr week with no experience, Door to Door Mobile Working Hours, including travel, Pension Scheme, excellent overtime package including travelling time, allowance payments when working away, modern office environment when not on site, Trainee Development Programme, inc QCF Level 3 Training in Utility Surveying and continuous on the job training and development

    You will start as a Grade 1 – Trainee, after 6 months experience a Grade 2 – Junior, and upon successful completion of the trainee development programme you will be promoted to a Grade 3 independent surveyor, along with an increased package of van, phone, laptop, own equipment, and salary increase. They target completion of the programme within a year depending on your drive to learn and work available to gain relevant experience.

    As a Grade 1 your starting salary will be circa £27 – 32k as stated, and as a Senior, your salary can be as high as £40k and it is expected you reach this level within 18 months of starting with the company.
