NTT DATA is currently looking for aTest Automation Engineer - Banking remote for our growing team in the UK.

Responsibilities and duties

• Responsible for automating the testing within the DevOps pipeline driving a culture of continuous improvement
• Must understand concepts such as Continuous Delivery, TDD & BDD, code coverage metrics
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
• Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
• Continuous Delivery, TDD & BDD, code coverage metrics

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Deep knowledge in Test automation
• Familiarity with common testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, QTP/UFT
• Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Github
• Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or similar
• Any experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, etc.
• Any previous experience with Java preferred
• Experience in manual software testing, e.g. exploratory testing
• Good knowledge and understanding of application architecture
• Excellent understanding of methodology (Agile, Waterfall)
• Experience in preparing Test Case/Test Plan
• Able to communicate technical issues or requirements clearly and effectively
• Exposure to API Testing (specialized in testing and validating XML, XSD, XPath Syntax, Web Services, MQ, Topics, REST, HTTP, SOAP Messaging
• Should have experience in UI and API/REST Assured Automation
• Hands on experience on REST Assured/JUnit Framework for API testing
• Good understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) and its working
• Good understanding of HTTP, JSON protocol and syntax
• Good understanding of Message Schema, RAML, Message Request-Response mechanism
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Banking/Financial Services experience preferred
