Technician - Tissue Profiling
Validate Novel therapeutics in a Cutting Edge AI powered London based Biotech?
JOB ROLE
Use your experience of working with human tissue samples, along with NGS and immunohistochemistry assays to map cellular landscapes in complex diseases. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced tissue profiling techniques where you'll look into cellular mechanisms driving diseases, enhancing your technical skills and contributing to vital research in disease understanding and treatment. You'll be engaging in experiments demonstrating the phenotypic consequences of gene or drug perturbations, developing your experience of novel drug discovery approaches.
THE COMPANY
You will be part of an innovative fast growing Biotech which utilises a Lab-in-the-Loop approach for drug discovery. This approach integrates active learning at every stage, from cell state prediction to target validation, using real cell data from proprietary biobanks. This gives you the opportunity to gain experience in a unique, iterative process that directly feeds into machine learning systems, offering a deeper understanding of the biology of disease and enhancing the predictive accuracy in drug discovery.
Due to the growth stage the London based biotech is in, you will have opportunity for accelerated progression meaning you will be able to develop into positions where you will have greater influence over company strategy early in your career.
THE CULTURE
You will be in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment where you will be working in multidisciplinary teams, combining expertise from various fields like bioinformatics, data science, and molecular biology. This collaborative culture will enrich your professional experience, preparing you for leadership roles in diverse scientific settings.
You will be right for this position if you have experience in human sample processing and Biobanking. NGS library preparation experience would also be favourable.
