If you are passionate about flavours, food ingredients, and the food and beverage industry , this is a fantastic opportunity for you. This position will be home based with regular visits to customers and to the HQ office and laboratories. The geographical territory is the UK with occasional visits to Ireland. This position is a full-time permanent role and will report to the Division Manager.Our Client will also consider candidates for this position who are currently working in a technical / NPD role as a Flavour or Beverage Technologist and who have a desire to move into a commercial role.Job PurposeDrive the growth of the flavours and Ingredients strategy by meeting and exceeding agreed quarterly and annual sales targets.Foster lasting relationships with key stakeholders within the industry.Identify potential business opportunities and turn them into successful partnerships, utilising your understanding of the market, industry trends, and customer needs.Collaborate cross-functionally with the Innovation and Manufacturing teams to develop and promote innovative solutions that meet customer requirements and deliver Ultimate Customer Value.Provide technical advice and support to customers, leveraging your knowledge in food technology to help customers solve problems and improve their products.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer SalesAchieve quarterly and annual sales budgets for a range of defined food ingredients and flavoursAchieve beneficial customer relationships by making frequent customer visits and achieving service levels that demonstrate company valuesAdd sales information to Customer Relationship Management softwareDevelop key markets through defined strategiesManufacturer RelationshipsManufacturers of all key organic product groupsObtain marketing informationEnsure adequate UK stockCommunicate with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development) Cultivate new Supplier Partners.Qualifications and ExperienceEducated to BSc level or equivalent in a relevant technical / scientific discipline or equivalent industrial experienceSeasoned technical salesperson conversant in and knowledgeable of the Food and Beverage industry, with a focus on flavours and food ingredients companies and customers OR Our Client will also consider candidates for this position who are currently working in a technical / NPD role as a Flavour Technologist and who have a desire to move into a commercial roleProven experience in technical or NPD rolesExperience of launching products understanding the challengesExperience of taking suppliers onboard from zero and building a sustainable businessAdherence to processes and procedures and using a CRMAble to fulfil customer purchasing requirementExcellent communicator at all levelsDetermination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm, loyaltyProactiveGrowth mindsetStrategic thinkingIn return, our Client is offering a competitive package including a basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience), plus benefits which include an expensed company car, five weeks holiday, pension, healthcare and a generous bonus scheme.To apply for the above position, please send your C.V to Lorraine Roger, Director at Atom Recruitment Ltd.TPBN1_UKTJ
