Join our Strategic Sourcing Team

The Strategic Sourcing Team are responsible for building and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with our suppliers to enable us to strategically source products to fulfil customer demand. The team analyse requirements to onboard new suppliers and negotiate commercials to ensure Softcat are receiving favourable pricing and service. External Supplier relationships are key to our success, and we host quarterly supplier reviews to ensure targets are being met. Internally we work alongside many other departments such as Procurement, Customer Services, Finance, Legal, Vendor Alliances and Sales which puts us at the centre of the Business Operations Department.

Be part of a team that enables business growth

This fast-paced role will give you an insight to how the IT Supply Chain operates and how supplier and vendor relationships are key to every part of our business. You will work with a wide variety of contacts both externally and internally across many different areas of the business giving you a full understanding of the IT reseller channel as well as an insight into Softcat's success as a business.

As a Strategic Sourcing Executive you'll be responsible for: 

Commercial responsibility - Responsible for tracking and collecting Softcat rebates to ensure they are accurate and paid on time

Onboarding New Suppliers – Assessing the requirements for onboarding new suppliers followed by full onboarding process once an application is approved

Reporting – Analyse procurement trends utilising internal reporting

Drive best practises within the business around preferred supplier routes

Managing a busy inbox responding supporting Softcat's internal sales team

Working with UK and Multi-National supply chains

 

We'd love you to have

Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Operational roles

Knowledge or experience of the IT channel is an advantage

Confident at building relationship with strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organised and process driven

Proven negotiation skills

Ability to run reports and analyse data using Excel
