UK Standardization & Industry Development Consultant - Contract

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our European Standards and Industry Development Team. This role will involve developing a comprehensive Master Plan for multiple industrial clusters. The selected candidate will lead market potential analyses and engage in standards and industrial policy work for various projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead ICT Industry Insights: Analyze the ICT landscape in the UK, focusing on next-generation networks (wireless, optical networks), artificial intelligence, high-speed computing, semiconductors, open-source platforms, and healthcare technologies. Identify emerging trends, formulate industrial development plans, and implement localized standards and strategies.
• Build Strategic Relationships: Establish and maintain partnerships with key industry bodies, including standards organizations, industry alliances, academic institutions, and innovation communities (e.g., BSI, ISO, IEC, CEN/CENELEC, TechUK, IET). Strengthen influence in the UK market, manage crises, and mitigate risks to ensure smooth business operations.
• Promote Collaborative Innovation: Foster business-oriented innovation and cooperation between key stakeholders (e.g., operators, industry partners, and institutions) through national innovation projects, white papers, standards initiatives, and strategic positions. Encourage active participation from all business units.
• Engage in Policy Advocacy: Support participation in public consultations related to technical policies and regulations, ensuring the company's perspective is represented in relevant discussions.
• Coordinate Global Efforts: Help align global industrial development strategies with UK operations to ensure seamless collaboration and integration across regions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the ICT sector, with mandatory experience in the UK or EU market.
• Prior involvement with standards organizations or industry associations is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, both externally and internally.
• Ability to quickly understand the company’s diverse product portfolio and user needs.
• Proven success in the ICT industry, with customer-facing experience.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
