An innovative deep-tech company is pioneering the future of photonic computing, developing next-generation all-optical neural networks to revolutionize AI and high-performance computing. As we scale, we are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead the strategic development of our software stack and shape the future of photonic AI systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the long-term software roadmap, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge hardware and photonic computing advancements.
  • Anticipate and incorporate emerging trends in AI, computing, and software development to future-proof the technology stack
  • Build and manage a high-performing software engineering team, fostering an innovative and collaborative culture.
  • Implement project management systems to streamline software development, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Act as a key technical representative, presenting to investors, stakeholders, and partners to communicate the company’s software vision.


The Ideal Engineering Manager Will Have:

  • Proven experience in leading software teams and setting long-term technical roadmaps.
  • A strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks and their evolution in the next 2-5 years.
  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC), distributed systems, or low-latency architectures.
  • Deep knowledge of C++, Python, and relevant AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging with investors and external stakeholders.
